In 2017 I visited my friends in Kokrobite, Ghana with the purpose to collaborativly create music. Months before I set down to compose some ideas that were in my mind with rhythms I learned from Mustapha Tettey Addy and his sons. They also helped me finish my compositions with ideas from traditional ghanaian music. Some other local ghanaian musicians joined the project and I organized rehearsals to practice the music we came up with. Then my friend and producer Moritz Gröger took his studio equipment and came all the way from Cologne to Ghana to record the percussions and Ga-Vocals for this album. Back in Cologne we added some instruments to create a fusion out of traditional ghanaian and modern european music. I hope you enjoy.
I want to thank my parents very much for supporting me through all these years.
Thank you to all the musicians who were involved in this project. It has been a pleasure.
